Long title…but very fitting. Yesterday I dove into switching from our previous host to (mt) Media Temple. Turns out I should have had someone else do it because I screwed it up royally, and thus, our site was partially down for almost 24 hours, not to mention our email, which was down for just that long as well.

Needless to say…if you don’t have the exact skill set required for a task, and it’s a mission-critical task…just tell someone you need help…it’s that easy.

In any case, we’re back up and running, and this morning I fixed everything I screwed up yesterday after the DNS servers propagated.
