Yup, we’re jumping on the bandwagon, we’re writing a “Welcome to 2008” post.

Simply put, 2008 is going to be a wicked awesome year, and I am ready for it. Last year was a big year, for me personally, the world, and most importantly, the whole socialthing! team.

In 2007:

• Ben, Brian and I were finally all together under one roof in St. Louis, working hard on the early versions of socialthing!
• socialthing! was one of ten companies to be accepted to the inaugural year of TechStars. It was amazing…did so much for us…including the fact that we moved to a really amazing state (Colorado)
• We hired a badass team (Ally, Joel, Tim and Wade)
• We gave out our summer demo to a select few and learned a lot of new things, most importantly…that it’s pretty sweet
• We got funded! (and no, we didn’t wear our swimsuits)
• We met tons of cool new people that are all stoked for our little website
• We got excited for 2008

Ok so that last one was pretty cheesy, but it’s totally true…we’re super stoked for what 2008 is going to bring us. There’s so much change going on in our market, so much excitement, and a lot of people looking for what we’re doing to be a big thing in 2008.

One person already says our genre of site is going to be the “Killer App of 2008” (yeah, we’re pretty sure of that too…but who’s counting?)

But the fact remains, socialthing! launches this year and we’re making sure that it’s going to go out there with one hell of a bang.

I’m saying it now…2008 is going to be a ridiculously awesome year.
